Camel Post

I’m pleased to say that while it looked as if Camel Post could not happen this year, a Camel Post “rescue plan” has been hatched!

This means that you can post your Christmas cards to people within Whitnash Parish using the usual annual means via the Camel Post box in St. Margaret’s Church. The post box will be available for posting cards into on two occasions only this month, which are as follows:
Thursday 10th December between 10am and Noon and Sunday 13th December between 2pm and 4pm.
These are the occasions that the Church will be open for personal prayer, and when cards can be put into the Post Box which will be at the back of the Church. Please note that because of Covid restrictions etc, we cannot collect cards for distribution at other times.
Each card is a minimum of 10p each, and all proceeds to Myton Hospice. As you will know, the income of Hospices has dropped dramatically during this period of Covid, largely because fund raising events have not been possible. As Myton depends so much on voluntary charitable giving, please do be as generous as you can. Donations to the hospice can also be put in the Camel Post box. Thank you.
Many thanks and every blessing for Advent and Christmas to come!
Richard.

        Hi Pam,

I have checked with the Camel’s and they have said unfortunately that as the new houses are outside the parish boundry the stamp doesn’t cover them.

        Merry Christmas!

        Lyndsey
